According to John Winn’s That Magic Feeling, Paul McCartney and Beatles roadie Mal Evans drove
from Bordeaux, France, to Sevilla, Spain, on this date. Other sources indicate that this was the day they flew
from Madrid to Nairobi, via Rome (which would place their departure from France a day or two earlier).
