Contrary to earlier published reports, these appear to have premiered much sooner than December 1977, possibly as early as March 1976.
Chip Madinger and Mark Easter write in Eight Arms to Hold You that they were "filmed in Kyoto over five days".
One collector (I cannot recall whom, please make yourself known) writes that a Japanese fan wrote in the Sep/Oct 1977 issue
of Beatles Unlimited that "the commercials started airing in March 1976" and that "seven different ones have been made and aired".
